Credible organisations carefully consider the type of tree, location, impact on the surrounding nature, and how local communities can benefit too.

Benefits

Many experts agree trees are the most effective way to capture and store carbon. Forests absorb one-third of carbon emissions released from burning fossil fuels each year. They also stabilise weather, improve air quality, filter our water, boost food production and provide work for local communities including for indigenous people.

Planting trees helps to restore habitats and gives nature room to breathe. Just imagine, for the first time we could wake up to a planet with more wildlife than there was when we went to sleep.
